A Few Insights
As a Barkandji woman who grew up off country in Tamworth NSW, I grew to value being an active part of my community. Helping others whenever the need arises was the end result of that. The majority of the experience I gained through employment centred around either people, helping others or both. Working in retail and hospitality allowed me to gain the beginnings of good communication and interpersonal skills. I polished these skills while volunteering with the Smith Family during and after high school, and than through interning with the Nous Group recently. During my internship, I also gained a keen interest in Indigenous affairs, global political relations and Climate Change. These interests were further nurtured by my Bachelor of Arts (Global Studies) while at University of Canberra.

MY INTERESTS
I believe that it is important to take note of the world around us and express our thoughts in whatever medium that we choose. My preferred mediums are writing and photography, with examples provided throughout this site. Outside of my hobbies in the creative arts, I am passionate about travelling and keeping up to date on current news and world events. Learning a new skill or fact is often the highlight of my day.
